1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BLUR TEC LLC (“BLUR TEC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of Sokr, including the AI messaging assistant accessible via SMS and WhatsApp, and the website sokr.ai (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, sending a message to Sokr's phone number, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Sokr.

2. About Sokr

Sokr is an AI-powered assistant with a dedicated phone number. Users add Sokr to group chats on WhatsApp or via SMS, and Sokr responds when directly @mentioned (e.g., “@Sokr what time is it in Tokyo?”). Sokr also responds to direct one-on-one messages. Sokr is powered by third-party large language model technology and is intended for informational, entertainment, and productivity purposes only.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account at sokr.ai by providing your mobile phone number. We will send a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify your number. By completing registration, you confirm that you are the account holder of the phone number provided and that you consent to receive text messages from Sokr as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Plans and Billing

Sokr is available on a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Free accounts may use Sokr up to 20 times per month and are limited to one group. Pro accounts have expanded limits as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through the Sokr dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

The person who adds Sokr to a group (“the host”) is responsible for that group's usage. All @mentions within a group count against the host's plan limits, regardless of which group member sends the message.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sokr to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including the TCPA and CAN-SPAM Act.
• Send or facilitate unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or bulk messaging.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate any person.
• Solicit or attempt to generate content related to illegal activity, self-harm, weapons, or controlled substances.
• Attempt to circumvent Sokr's safety filters or manipulate the AI into violating these Terms.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or replicate the Service for competing products.
• Use the Service on behalf of minors under 18 years of age.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or its infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms.

7. AI-Generated Content

Sokr's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate. Always verify important information from authoritative sources.
• Sokr is not a substitute for professional advice — legal, medical, financial, psychological, or otherwise. Do not rely on Sokr for decisions that require professional judgment.
• BLUR TEC LLC does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any AI-generated response.
• Sokr may decline to respond to certain requests at its discretion, including requests that violate safety guidelines or these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Sokr name, logo, website, and underlying technology are owned by BLUR TEC LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or reproduce our content without prior written permission. You retain ownership of the content you send to Sokr. By sending messages, you grant BLUR TEC LLC a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of Sokr is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLUR TEC LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF BLUR TEC LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO BLUR TEC LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BLUR TEC LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using Sokr at any time. You may delete your account by contacting us at [email protected]. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via SMS or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
